About Anamudi Shola

Anamudi Shola National Park protects high-elevation Shola forest patches near Anamudi peak, the highest point in peninsular India at 2695 metres. These ancient montane forests are relics of a much larger forest cover that once blanketed the high Ghats and harbour an extraordinary density of endemic species.
