About Desert

Desert National Park is the largest national park in Rajasthan, covering a vast expanse of the Thar Desert ecosystem around Jaisalmer. The park is one of the last sanctuaries of the Great Indian Bustard, a critically endangered bird with a global population below 150 individuals. Fossilised bones of dinosaurs and ancient creatures are found in the sandstone outcrops.
