About Mahavir Harina Vanasthali

Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park near Hyderabad was developed from a deer park that the Nizam of Hyderabad created to protect a chinkara population. Today the park is a green refuge on the edge of one of India's fastest-growing cities, sheltering chinkara, blackbuck, and peafowl in scrub forest and open grassland.
