About Eravikulam

Eravikulam National Park on the high-altitude plateau of the Anamalai Hills is the last stronghold of the Nilgiri tahr. The park's rolling Shola-grassland landscape blooms spectacularly every twelve years when the Neelakurinji shrubs carpet entire hillsides in blue-purple flowers — a phenomenon that attracts visitors from around the world.
