About Govind

Govind National Park in the Uttarkashi district straddles the Upper Tons River valley, bordering Tibet and Himachal Pradesh. The park's remote and rarely visited high-altitude terrain is prime snow leopard country. The park is also critical for the Himalayan musk deer, targeted by poachers for its valuable musk pod.
