About Valley of Flowers
Valley of Flowers National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that opens for only three months each summer, when the high-altitude valley floor carpets itself in an astonishing array of Himalayan wildflowers — over 300 species including the legendary blue poppy. Discovered by mountaineer Frank Smythe in 1931, it has since been called one of the most beautiful places in the world.
