About Valmiki

Valmiki National Park is Bihar's only national park, sheltering a significant population of tigers and elephants in the Himalayan Terai at the Nepal border. The park forms the Indian side of the Nepal-India Trans-boundary Conservation Area with Chitwan National Park across the Gandak River.
